Firecracker Safety & Handling Manual
Your joyful celebration is our highest priority. Follow these certified safety standards, step-by-step lighting protocols, and emergency guidelines for a secure, memorable festival.
3 Mandatory Safety Pillars
Please memorize these rules before igniting any fireworkIgnite fireworks exclusively outdoors in large, open grounds away from dry grass, trees, buildings, and parked vehicles.
Children must never handle or light firecrackers alone. An adult must continuously monitor all lighting activities.
Keep two full 10-liter buckets of water and sand stationed within arm's reach before igniting any fuse.
Safety DO's
Keep unburst crackers in thick cardboard or wooden boxes away from electrical switches, gas cylinders, and direct sunlight.
Light fuses at arm's length using a long incense stick. Keep your face and body turned away from the cracker.
Wear sturdy footwear and well-fitted cotton clothes. Avoid loose synthetic garments, dupattas, or silk dresses near fire.
Ignite items individually and retreat to a safe distance (15+ feet) immediately after lighting the fuse tip.
Douse spent fireworks and sparkler wire sticks in water overnight before disposing of them into municipal trash bins.
Safety DON'Ts
If a fuse burns out without ignition, wait 20 minutes before approaching, then douse completely with water. Never attempt relighting.
Never store crackers or matches inside clothing pockets. Body heat and friction can trigger unintended ignition.
Never cover lit crackers with tin cans, glass bottles, or clay pots. Exploding shards create dangerous shrapnel.
Do not hold lit bombs, rockets, or ground spinners in your hand. Always place items securely on the ground first.
Never point or throw fireworks at individuals, street animals, open windows, electrical poles, or dry foliage.
4-Step Safe Bursting Workflow
Follow this exact sequence every time you prepare and ignite fireworks.
Unpack & Inspect
Unpack crackers carefully in a clean dry area. Check fuses to ensure they are intact and untangled before carrying outside.
Ground Setup
Select a flat concrete or hard earth surface. Place the firework upright and position your water bucket 10 feet away.
Ignite & Retreat
Stand sideways at arm's length. Light the fuse tip using an agarbatti and immediately walk back 15–20 feet.
Douse & Clean
Allow spent items to cool for 15 minutes. Submerge spent wires and cardboard casings in water before binning.
Category Handling Instructions
Specific guidelines designed for each category in our fireworks catalogue.
Sparklers & Twinklers
Hold sparklers extended at arm's length away from body. Never wave near eyes or clothes. Dip glowing wire sticks in a water container immediately after burning out.
Ground Spinners & Chakkars
Must be placed on completely smooth, level concrete or paved surfaces. Never ignite on grass or unpaved mud as they will get stuck and burst sideways.
Rockets & Sky Shots
Launch rockets using a heavy, rigid bottle or metal launcher tube placed vertically. Ensure there is 50ft of clear overhead sky with no trees or roofs.
Flower Pots & Fountains
Place firmly upright on level ground. Stand to the side while lighting the fuse tip and retreat 15 feet. Never lean directly over the top cone while lighting.
Emergency First-Aid Protocol
Keep calm and follow these immediate medical steps if an accident occursThermal Skin Burns
Pour cool, clean running water over the burn continuously for 10–15 minutes. Do NOT apply ice, oil, ink, toothpaste, or butter to burned skin.
Eye Irritation / Spark Damage
Gently flush open eyes with clean lukewarm water. Do NOT rub the eye or attempt to remove embedded particles manually. Seek immediate medical aid.
Medical Care
Cover burn area loosely with clean, dry cotton cloth or sterile gauze. Contact emergency services (108/102) or visit the nearest hospital emergency room.
